You'll find our mission written on the wall, but our mission mostly happens outside our walls.

Our aim at College Avenue is to love God, love others, and share the Good News about Jesus.  We come together as a family of believers a few times each week to offer praise and gratitude to God for His redemptive love, to be encouraged and to encourage one another, and to grow together in the knowledge of Jesus so that we are prepared for what we encounter – and the choices we will make – outside the walls of our church building each week.

We don't have it all figured out.

The saying "the church is a hospital for sinners, not a country club for saints" applies to our church family.  We are a broken people. Let's face it, we live in a world broken by sin.  We hurt, we struggle, we face temptation, and we are not immune to suffering just because we are in a community of faith.

We've got joy in spite of our circumstances.

Until all things are made new again (we'd love to talk more about that with you!), we will experience hardships in life.  However, we find joy in knowing how the story ends, and until then, we also find joy in doing our part to show love to others and share God's simple and incredibly gracious plan.
