Being a true servant of God is
more than just a long checklist of things done or accomplished. It is
being the reflection of Christ with life not just moments. The April
servant towel recepient, Lyndsey Harrell, reflects this by her desire to
help those who are not always seen, heard, or noticed.
In Romans 12:6 Paul says, "We have different gifts, according to the
grace given us." He goes on to say that if your gift is serving, then
serve. Lyndsey has been given the gift of service and she is using it
for the glory of God.
Lyndsey has been instrumental in serving Christ on a wide spectrum. She
has volunteered locally at the Salvation Army, St. James Clothing
Ministry, and Turning Point Ministries. She has ministered on a personal
level to many individuals in the community through yard work, singing in
the nursing home, and also taking time to sit down and visit. This young
lady has always answered the call to serve her church family by teaching
Bible classes with the KFC program, volunteering for parents day out,
and serving up food and entertainment for the Prime-Timers.
Most recently Lyndsey has traveled to Inner-City Houston where she
helped tear down a house with her bare hands.
Lyndsey is also active in carrying out her faith in the halls of Barton
Junior High School, where she is the current president of the Fellowship
of Christian Athletes.
We are honored to present the April Servant Towel to Miss Lyndsey
Harrell!
