When I thought about the husband and wife we are recognizing this month with our "Servant Towel," I was immediately reminded of Priscilla and Aquila. Like them, this couple has used their home as a haven of hospitality in which new members were made to feel welcome to our church family; as a place where non-members were able to participate in the Growth Groups they hosted; and as a gathering place where countless fellowship events took place. And, just as Priscilla and Aquila were an encouragement to Paul in his ministry, their friendship, example, and support have been an encouragement to me in my work here at College Avenue.

This was a bittersweet recognition; bitter, because the morning the Ganus' were recognized was their last Sunday with us; but sweet, because we are confident that God will use them to strengthen His church in London, and because we realize that the bonds of Christian love cross all geographical boundaries and indeed, extend for eternity.

Patty Ganus has served as a Bible teacher and a Care Group leader; has led evangelistic ladies Bible studies and has served as our church librarian. Charles has been a teacher; deacon; songleader; Growth Group leader; and, on April 8 he completed his eighth year as a shepherd of this flock.

For more than two decades Charles and Patty have been a vital part of this church family, and have enthusiastically supported countless good works. As they leave for their new home we send our prayers, our best wishes, and our sincere love.
