There are many relationships Christian women cultivate during a lifetime.  Our women’s ministry is geared to strengthen each one of these relationships. 

Our connection with God is of the utmost importance.  Through prayer, devotionals, bible studies, and retreats our relationship with God increases.  Our rapport with each other as Christian women is built up through fellowship and times of sharing.  Family relationships are strengthened through topics covered throughout the year. 

At College Avenue we strive to develop the whole person, so in turn we may go into the world to gain more for God’s kingdom.

Ladies Mission Statement

The mission of the Women’s Ministry is to disciple and minister to College Avenue’s members and visitors. This ministry will help them  grow in their relationship with the Lord and each other.
 

Goals for Ladies Ministry

 Bring together women of all ages and stages of life for edification, equipping and evangelism

Quickly involve new members in the church and create an environment where all are accepted 

Provide a positive climate for women to develop their relationship with Christ

To help women find and use their spiritual gifts

Tuesday Ladies Bible Class

This class is led by Jane Reynolds and meets in the church Annex September to  May.  Class begins at 9:30 a.m.  Time is devoted to prayer and bible study.  Several service opportunities are offered.  Free child care is provided.

The Wednesday morning young mothers class will resume on September 9.  It meets in the church Library from 10 to 11 a.m. and is taught by Susan Turbeville.  This fall they will study the book of James.  Free child care is provided.

Wednesday Night Ladies Bible Class

This fall our Wednesday night ladies class is involved in a study titled “Believing God”  by Beth Moore.  We meet weekly from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Annex.  This class is part video and part group sharing.  It is being facilitated by Jane Reynolds. 

Ladies Fellowship Night

Once a month a ladies night is planned.  Activities vary from going to a restaurant, scrap-booking, and service around the church.  Check the church bulletin or call the church office for details about our next Ladies Night.

Ladies Grief Recovery Support Group

The next Ladies Grief Recovery Support group will begin on the first Wednesday night of January 2010.
